Unsure what Word version you have?

If you see the File tab at the very top, left of the Word window AND the Home tab immediately to the right of that, you have Word 2010 or 2013. If you see a round, multi-colored Office button at the top, left of the Word Window: you have 2007. Otherwise, select Word's Help menu; pick About Microsoft Word. The version number appears at the top of the pop up (e.g. Microsoft Word 2003).
